Steve Babor combines specialized market knowledge with an understanding of the changing retail landscape, including new formats and emerging consumer trends. His strategic knowledge of local economic and demographic developments has served him well with clients such as Home Depot, Sobey’s and Canadian Tire in site selection; use analysis and development proformas for Landlords.
Prior to establishing his own practice, Steve had a long and distinguished career at Royal LePage now Cushman Wakefield Lepage and more establishing a Retail Division at Colliers. Consistently recognized for superior sales performance, integrity and knowledge. Among an elite group within both companies, he enjoyed high honors and awards for sustained and consistent sales excellence, Today, Steve remains and is recognized as among the top Professionals in his field. Steve began his real estate career over 41 years ago after obtaining a degree in Urban and Regional Planning and a certificate in Public Administration at Ryerson University. He began working with strictly the land development industry and has sold all types of land to users and tract developers. Becoming attracted to the ever-changing retailing industry he began to focus in retail development strategies for both landowners and tenants. To date, he has developed, preleased, site selected and designed and sold property for many clients large and small.

2002 – 2004 – Bough developed, built, leased and sold a 15,000 sq ft neighborhood plaza in north Whitby
2004 – 2006 – Started a Restaurant chain with operating partner
2004 – 2006 – Formed Steve Babor Real Estate with the mandate to provide acquisition and leasing services to Fieldgate Commercial
2005 – 2007 – Expanded to two offices and changed name to XL Retail Commercial Services Inc. a small boutique offering commercial sales, leasing and consulting services specific to retail tenants and landlords
2008 – 2010 – Merged XL into Colliers to expand its Retail Division in the downtown offices.
2010 to Present – Formed Sitelines Realty Inc. Specializing in The Sale, Design and Preleasing of Commercial Land
